Back from the break: First post since 2022, What's Changed? Plans for the Blog?

Let me start off by saying, Life for me has been CRAZY. This will be a short and sweet post of what's happened, where I have been, and whats changed.

First, I got a divorce (yikes!) That Is the main reason I have been so absent from this blog, but I do admit- reading my earlier posts have actually been really fun because It helped me remember my mindset at the time. I was not planning on this huge life change, but it happened and I am adjusting to my new life!

Second, I started working... Entering back into the workforce has been an adjustment but I found myself in a career I love. I am working for Tennessee Early Intervention (TEIS) as a service coordinator. I mentioned early intervention in a previous blog post and will dedicate a whole post (if not several) to this topic. Before my position now with TEIS, I worked as a Developmental Therapist. Both of the positions worked/ work directly with families who have kids with developmental delay and disabilities. I have learned and continue to learn so much!

Third, Grayson has made MAJOR progress over these past two years (again... another blog post coming soon on this topic alone)... but he has made more progress than I would have ever imagined. Grayson is:

1. Using an Augmentative and alternative communication Device (AAC) to communicate

2. Separation anxiety is GONE

3. Started waving, and high-fiving

4. Started following one and several two step directions

5. Almost Potty trained!!!

Is Grayson talking yet after 3 years? No. But, he has progressed in so many ways that talking is not my biggest concern anymore!
